FranceTV Publicité’s carbon reduction goals have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The sales house now joins 3000 other companies from around the world in the fight against climate change.

The SBTi was launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the CDP, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the World Resources Institute (WRI), in preparation for the 2025 UN Climate Change Conference in Paris (COP21). At COP21, 195 countries decided to lower their CO₂ emissions in the aim of keeping the rise in global temperatures under 2°C compared to pre-industrial levels. By joining the SBTi, companies pledge to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions to help achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
Specifically, FranceTV Publicité will speed up its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, setting the ambitious target of a 42% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2030.
Receiving the SBTi standard justifies and strengthens FranceTV Publicité’s existing sustainability initiatives.
The sales house has always been ahead of the curve, launching its first carbon footprint assessment in 2007, and has now set itself on a dynamic trajectory to significantly reduce its footprint and improve its environmental performance.
